Since 2011, he has been running an evening course on illustration based on his own methods.

Nicolas Mahler is an Austrian comic artist and illustrator living and working in Vienna. His comics and cartoons have been published in different newspapers and magazines, such as Die Zeit, NZZ am Sonntag, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung and the satirical magazine Titanic. At 48 years of age, he has already received numerous awards for his work, including the Max-und-Moritz Prize for “Best Comic Artist in the German Language”.
Bodo Birk is the director of Internationaler Comic-Salons Erlangen. The Comic-Salon is Germany’s most important comic festival, which has been taking place every other year since 1984.
